The Bishop is Coming!
The Bishop is Coming!

Our Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Mark Lawrence, will visit us this Sunday,  Trinity Sunday, May 27th!   He will preach and celebrate at our first 8:00 a.m. Beach Service for the summer and also, at our Confirmation/Reaffirmation Service at 10:30 a.m.  The Adult Choir will join us at the 10:30 a.m. service as well. We will follow the Confirmation Service with an old-fashioned Ice Cream Social in the Meech Room!
Our Organist/Choirmaster, Sheri Melton, and her husband Pete, have decided to “retire” and travel!  So we are excited and supportive of them and sad for us.  Trinity Sunday will be their “retirement” Sunday. We intend to honor their faithful leadership at the reception after our 10:30 a.m. service in the Meech Room of Temple Hall.
       Please join us!

Summer Worship Schedule
Memorial Day Weekend

Our tradition is to shift to our Summer Worship Schedule of 8:00 a.m. (x2) and 10:30 a.m. on Memorial Day Weekend.  And so this year we will begin on Sunday, May 27th.

Beach Service - We will offer an 8:00 a.m.  Holy Eucharist Service with guitars and more contemporary music on the beach beside Coot’s Restaurant (left side as you face the water).  We have their permission to pull up in their parking lot and bring our chairs and towels out on the beach for a worship service.

Traditional Service - We will also offer our regular 8:00 a.m. Traditional Holy Eucharist Service in the historic Sanctuary. This service will be supplied by the Rev. Punchy Mills and the Rev. Mike Lumpkin.
Fellowship Breakfast - We all gather for a big breakfast at 9:00 a.m. , or so, and enjoy an extended time of fellowship.

Blended Service - We will offer our Rite II blended (hymns and renewal music) service at 10:30 a.m. in the historic sanctuary.

Veteran’s Luncheon

Trinity will have a luncheon to honor our Veterans on Sunday, July 1st, following the 10:30 a.m. service. Our speaker will be the Rev. Robert Sturdy, Anglican Chaplain of St. Alban’s Chapel at the Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina.  Veterans, Citadel Alumni, spouses and all of Trinity is invited! Robert is a dynamic speaker with stories to tell. We will also take time to honor our Trinity Veterans. Trinity will supply the fried chicken and we ask that everyone bring a salad, side or dessert to share.  Come join us!
