Service Opportunities

The final part of our mission at Trinity is to serve others.
We have many ministries that are focused on doing just that.
We invite you to spend time with us doing any of these activities.

The Sunday Morning Fellowship Breakfast is a hallmark of Trinity Episcopal Church.  Originally begun by Dr. Ritchie Belser and then carried on by Demi Howard and his son, John, it is now made up of five separate Sunday teams who provide a wonderful, gourmet breakfast for 50 to 100 people each Sunday morning.  Breakfast is available from 8:30 to 9:15 on Sunday mornings in the parish hall.

Trinity Tutors - Trinity has a long tradition of parishioners who volunteer in the local island and beach elementary schools.  Our parishioners are invited to go into the schools during school hours and assist students in reading, writing, math and other subjects.

The Edisto Food Pantry is an island-wide ministry of food for families in need.  Trinity supports this ministry with non-perishables and financial donations at various times during the year.

Each year we assemble Christmas Shoe Boxes full of toiletries and treats for children.  They are shipped through Samaritan's Purse to bring Christmas joy to the homes and hearts of families around the world.

The Edisto Home Mission Team is a group of retirees who gather one Friday-Saturday each month to work on a local home.  The homes are chosen out of financial and structural need.  Roof repairs, plumbing problems, floor and structural support and a fresh coat of paint are all jobs for the Edisto Home Mission Team.

Please save the poptops off beverage cans and soup/vegetable cans. We give them to the Ronald McDonald House who use the proceeds for various projects. There is a jar in the office where they can be deposited.  This is outreach for “Issues of the Heart” Sunday School class and the Monday “No Homework” Bible Study.
