Intro - Living Water - Holy Spirit
John 4:10 - 10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”
Living Water is the Holy Spirit
John 7:38-39 - 37 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” 39 Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

How do we receive the Holy Spirit?
We ask - The Holy Spirit is a gift, “the Lord, the giver of life”
The Gospel is the Good News of the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus Christ by which we become the Righteousness of God.
Luke 11:13 - If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
We Repent and Believe.
The living water will not flow when there is a kink in the line.
Sin is a kink in the line.
Example - “The Jesus Revolution” - Story of Chuck Smith, Greg Laurie and Calvary Chapel.
Kink in the line - ‘curved in on itself’ (incurvatus in se)
Flesh - sin nature
Romans 7:18 - For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot do it.
How do I sense when the Living Water is slowing down or stopping? Losing His Peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7)
Romans 14:17 - For the kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
When I loose His Peace, I stop, readjust my attitude, my heart, re-focus my attention away from the World and back onto Jesus.
