Intro - Cancelled

How did Jesus handle the “Cancel Culture?”

John 9:35 - Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”

The Cancel Culture - a member of a group, tribe, family, institution who steps out to say or write something against the values of that group. The group then goes after, “cancels” or casts out that member.

Jesus went after canceled people all the time. Tax Collectors, Zealots, Prostitutes, Sinners.

What did Jesus give the Canceled Man?

1. Life! Eternal, Abundant, Resurrection Life!

“Do you believe in the Son of Man?”

John 11:25-26, John 20:30-31, John 3:16

2. Sight! - Physical Sight and now Spiritual Sight

John 9 - 36 He answered, “And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?” 37 Jesus said to him, “You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you.”

Any form of life has the ability to see or sense its environment:

Plant - Animal - Human - Believer

Human Believer

Moral Sense Right/Wrong His Cross for my Sin

Aesthetic Sense Beauty & Love His Cross for love of Me.

Spiritual Sense Heaven/Earth Who is Jesus?

Once we perceive who Jesus is and put our trust in him, believe in him, everything begins to change.

John 9:38 — He said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.
