Intro - Story of Wey not perceiving in Seminary.
“Think Mr Camp!
Three Types of Leaven - yeast - WorldView - How someone views the
World. What’s the problem? What’s the solution?
Mark 8:16 - And he cautioned them, saying, “Watch out;
beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.”
Herodians - Political WorldView - Everything revolves around politics.
Pharisees - Religious WorldView - Everything revolves around religious practices.
Kingdom of Heaven - Gospel WorldView - New Covenant of Grace.
Matthew 13:33 - He told them another parable. “The kingdom
of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of
flour, till it was all leavened.”
As Believers our WorldView is changed.
The Gospel is the Good News of the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Our Hearts are meant to be softened.
How? By Remembering.
Mark 8:18 - Having eyes do you not see, and having ears do you not hear? And do you not remember?
When have you experienced His provision in your life?
Deuteronomy 8:12-18 - 12 lest, when you have eaten and are full and have built good houses and live in them, 13 and when your herds and flocks multiply and your silver and gold is multiplied and all that you have is multiplied, 14 then your heart be lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, ... 17 Beware lest you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.’ 18 You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
The issue for Provision as Believers is our heart. And how they are softened by remembering.
The Words of Institution.
Jesus said, Take, eat; this is my Body, which is given for you: Do this in remembrance of me.
Drink this, all of you; for this is my Blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for you, and for many, for the forgiveness of sins: Whenever you drink it, do this in remembrance of me.
